This study aimed to examine the role of the Faculty of Education at the University of Al Hudaydah in promoting citizenship education. The research utilized a descriptive analytical approach to achieve its objectives and employed a questionnaire as the data collection instrument for the study sample. The questionnaire comprised 24 items distributed across three domains. The study population consisted of fourth-year (graduating) students from all twelve departments of the Faculty of Education at the University of Al Hudaydah for the 2018-2019 academic year. The total population was 481 students. The researchers selected a stratified random sample of 125 students. The study reached several conclusions, the most significant of which is the weak role of the Faculty of Education at the University of Al Hudaydah in fostering citizenship values among its students. No statistically significant differences were found between the mean responses of the study sample based on the gender variable, nor were there any statistically significant differences based on the department variable. The study recommends that the administration of the Faculty of Education and the university, more broadly, review the university’s vision and mission and develop a clear strategy that includes the activation of students’ cultural, social, athletic, artistic, and media activities with the aim of cultivating citizenship values, fostering citizens who are fully aware of their environment, and creating contemporary programs that effectively instill these values in teacher candidates, enabling them to fulfill their societal responsibilities both during their service and in educating the younger generation.
