Abstract

In this note, we give a detailed survey on characterization of orthogonality of elementary operators in
normed spaces. In particular, we consider these operators when they are finite and unveil new conditions
which are necessary and sufficient for their orthogonality. Lastly, we characterize Birkhoff-James orthogonal-
ity for this class of operators.
